Celebrating 5 years with Associated Staffing in 2016, Professional Recruiter Jennifer Cramer serves the communities of Grand Island, Hastings, Kearney, Omaha and Columbus, placing talented professionals in accounting, insurance, HR, management, sales, IT and more.
“She is dedicated to the clients she works with by reaching out and understanding the culture the client is trying to achieve,” said Rob Riedy, Director of Business Development. “She doesn’t stop until she finds the right quality candidate.”
Between interviews, Jennifer answered a few questions about her success in our Professional Division:
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I wanted to be a television news anchor. I would write new stories and practice giving the news in my best “Deb Collins” voice. I loved watching the news and wanted to inform the citizens of my community.
Q: What’s the strangest job you’ve ever had?
A: Detasseling and fast food worker as a teenager
Q: What gets you motivated to come to work?
A: I am naturally pretty self-motivated. On the days that are tough, I focus on making a difference in the lives of my candidates and clients through the work I do!
Q: If you could have any other job for just one day, what would it be?
A: I would be POTUS for a day. Madame President Cramer has a nice ring to it!
Q: What traits define you?
A: Drive, integrity and loyalty.
Q: What’s your greatest achievement?
A: My greatest achievement was completing my master’s degree in 2015 with a 4.0 GPA while working full time. Meanwhile, I was promoted to my role as Direct Hire Recruiter while finishing my degree. I handled all of the responsibilities of leading the professional division for my company. It was a crazy time for me but I am grateful for the growth that came from it.
Q: What is the most important quality you need to be successful?
A: The most important qualities to be successful in my role are urgency and resiliency.
Q: You’ll be celebrating 5 years with Associated Staffing (yay!) this year. What’s the biggest thing you’ve learned in the last 5 years?
A: The biggest thing I have learned in the last 5 years is continually striving to improve yourself via training and education is essential to success. Also, hard work pays off!
Q: Biggest challenge you face in your job:
A: The product and service we provide is centered around people, both clients and candidate. People can be unpredictable and can change their minds on a whim.
Q: We’re a pretty great company to work for (but we may be a little biased). What’s your favorite part about your job and working for Associated Staffing?
A: ASI has encouraged my growth over the past 5 years. We are treated well, we are challenged and we are rewarded for our success. My favorite part of my job is the satisfaction of making a difference for others. I get to help Nebraska’s top talent find their true career calling. Pretty neat stuff! I also love when candidates and clients refer others to me. This shows me that I am impacting the community in a positive way!
Q: When you’re not recruiting, what are you doing?
A: Traveling, working out, shopping, visiting wineries, Husker football, spending time with my husband and dog.
