During the recent government shutdown, many families experienced delays in SNAP benefits creating unexpected challenges in accessing food. At Associated Staffing, we took immediate action to ensure our associates had support. Through our Associated Staffing emergency food assistance program, associates were able to access meals quickly and safely reflecting our commitment to caring for people beyond the workplace.
Why Associated Staffing Emergency Food Assistance Was Important
Food insecurity can have immediate effects on daily life, stress and work performance. Recognizing this, we acted quickly to provide assistance to our associates ensuring that no one had to worry about missing meals due to SNAP delays. This initiative reflected our longstanding commitment to putting people first. Learn more about our values on our About Us page.
What Our Associates Did to Access Emergency Food Assistance
Associates quickly signed up using the text link before the November 5th deadline. On Thursday, November 7th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, they picked up their food at their local branch. Many shared the opportunity with coworkers who had not received the initial text ensuring everyone who needed support was able to access it.
How This Program Reflected Associated Staffing Values
From Grand Island to Hastings, Kearney, Columbus, Omaha and beyond, this initiative demonstrated our commitment to associates. Providing food assistance ensured associates were supported and cared for during a difficult time. This program is a clear reflection of our values in action — helping people first and showing care beyond the workplace.
We’re Proud of the Impact
The program successfully provided meals and peace of mind to numerous associates. By acting quickly and efficiently, we supported our team, strengthened our community and demonstrated what it truly means to put people first.
