Answers to common questions about working with Associated Staffing.

Employer and Job Seeker FAQs

How much will it cost my company?

The cost to you will vary based on several factors including industry and type of positions, account volume and insurance costs such as workers’ comp. Associated Staffing is committed to providing highly qualified employees to your company at a competitive price.

What is the process for finding employees through Associated Staffing?

Associated Staffing will discuss the details of the open position(s) and obtain a job description. We will provide a Terms of Service and Rate Structure that provides information on our services and policies. Upon your authorization, we will schedule a tour of your facility to get to know you and your expectations, company culture and preferences. This will allow us to send only the most qualified applicants.

How long will it take to have an employee in our company?

The time frame for successfully finding an employee will vary depending on the position and recruitment process. We are committed to sending the most highly qualified applicants and customize the process to each company that we work with. You may choose to interview the most qualified applicants before making a decision or we can fill a position based on the qualifications you provide.

What kind of background checks do you provide?

Every applicant is reference checked based on the work history they provide. Some of our clients request a drug screen, criminal background check or motor vehicle record. We can provide these services and any other assessments or pre-screenings you may require. These can be coordinated through our office for a fee.

What if I am not satisfied with an employee placed by Associated Staffing?

Not every job is a fit for every person. Sometimes that is not clear until the person is on the job. Our temporary-to-hire program provides an opportunity for you to see an employee in the work setting to determine if you want to hire them. If you are not satisfied with an employee, we can replace them. You are not obligated to keep them for any specific period of time. Communication with our team is the key.

What kind of jobs do you fill?

Associated Staffing is a full-service staffing and recruitment company. We handle positions in all areas of light industrial, clerical and professional. Regardless of the industry, we have the ability to recruit for any position and will customize a program that fits your specific needs. By having a broad base of applicants as well as various recruiting resources, we can meet your needs in most areas of your business.

Why should I use your service instead of filling the position on my own?

We pride ourselves on the quality of our employees and feel our greatest resource is our past, present and future employees. The recruitment and screening process for our applicants allows us to best match their skills and training to each position.

The temporary-to-hire program with Associated Staffing takes the hiring risk out of your hands. If you are not satisfied with an employee, we can replace them, and you have not made the investment of hiring them onto your payroll. We save you unemployment expense and time for your team.

We cover workers’ compensation and unemployment costs as well as taking away the stress of recruiting and sorting through applicants for the ones who are qualified. We also handle the paperwork and provide safety training and testing. Associated Staffing invests in our own employees by providing training and certification for all of our office staff. We can be a resource to you when questions arise about staffing and employment.

How soon can I start working?

Job availability changes frequently. Once you complete our application, interview and screening, our team will discuss what positions you qualify for based on your preferences, experience and skills.

What do I pay for your services?

As an applicant, you will not pay for any of the services Associated Staffing provides. Our service is FREE to applicants.

What is involved in the application process?

You can complete our application online at associated-staffing.com or in person at any of our branches. You will be asked to provide complete work history as well as asked preference of shift, type of work and preference of location.

After the application is complete, you will be invited to interview with a recruiter. In the interview, you will have the opportunity to discuss your skills, experience and what you are looking for in your next position. The recruiter will discuss not only what specific skills you have but also find out more about your experiences in job-related settings.

Once you have completed the interview, you will go through basic safety training, and for office and professional positions, may be asked to do some computer testing to determine skill levels. Associated Staffing conducts reference checks with previous employers and other references you provide. Once reference information is complete, you will be offered jobs based on all the factors that make up your application and interview process.

What if I am not interested in a certain position when it is offered? Is it all right to turn it down?

Not every job is going to meet your expectations. If you are not interested in a position we offer, you are free to decline. We will continue to offer positions to you based on your skills and preferences.

What if I am on an assignment and decide it is not for me?

We realize not every job will be a good fit for you. Sometimes you will not know that until you have tried the position. If you are on an assignment and find it will not work for you, we ask that you contact us immediately and give at least a 24-hour notice. You may be asked to stay at an assignment long enough for us to find a replacement, but we will attempt to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. As with any interaction, communication is the key. We expect open communication from our field employees, and they can expect the same from the Associated Staffing office.

How can I stay informed about open positions?

Our positions will be posted on our website and updated regularly, so check our job board frequently. We ask that you keep us informed if your availability or interests change, you gain any additional experience, certifications or education and we will update your profile.
