Our team recently attended the SkillsUSA Nebraska State Competition in Grand Island and it was another incredible year for this growing event.
Heidi, our Director of Operations, joined other team members in experiencing the competition firsthand. Each year, the event continues to expand and 2026 was no exception.
Nearly 2,400 students from across Nebraska gathered to compete in more than 100 skilled trades. From welding and construction to health sciences and information technology, the level of talent on display was impressive.
The SkillsUSA Nebraska State Competition is more than just a contest; it’s a showcase of the future workforce. Students gain hands-on experience, build confidence and connect with professionals who help guide their career paths.
We were especially inspired by the energy and dedication of the participants. Watching students demonstrate real-world skills reinforces the importance of career and technical education programs across the state.
