Staffing and Recruiting Services in Nebraska | Our 31-Year Journey

For more than three decades, Associated Staffing has provided staffing and recruiting services in Nebraska helping employers find qualified talent and connecting job seekers with meaningful career opportunities. What started as a small operation in Grand Island in 1995 has grown into one of Nebraska’s trusted staffing, recruiting and executive search firms.

How Our Staffing and Recruiting Services in Nebraska Began

After spending many years in the corporate world, founder Brian McMahon was ready to pursue business ownership. He wanted the flexibility and independence that come with running a company even knowing it would require hard work and dedication.

After evaluating several business opportunities over a three-year period, Brian purchased Associated Staffing in 1995. He launched the company from a small office operating out of a house in Grand Island with just two part-time employees.

From day one, the focus was on helping local employers solve workforce challenges and helping job seekers find opportunities that matched their skills and goals.

Building Staffing and Recruiting Services Across Nebraska

As demand grew, so did Associated Staffing’s footprint across the state.

Expansion milestones included:

  • 1997: Opening the Hastings office
  • 1999: Opening the Kearney office and launching the Professional Division
  • 2003: Opening the Omaha office
  • 2007: Opening the Columbus office

These additions allowed us to expand our staffing and recruiting services in Nebraska while maintaining the personalized approach that has always defined our company.

Today, we proudly support employers across a variety of industries with temporary staffing, temp-to-hire placements, direct hire recruiting and executive search services.

From Paper Applications to Modern Recruiting Technology

The staffing industry has evolved dramatically since 1995.

In the early years, recruiting relied heavily on paper applications, filing cabinets and whiteboards. Recruiters often depended on memory and personal relationships to connect top talent with employers.

Today’s staffing and recruiting services in Nebraska look very different.

Technology has transformed how we recruit, communicate and serve our clients. Modern tools now include:

  • Digital job applications
  • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Text messaging communication
  • Automated candidate follow-up
  • Artificial intelligence tools that improve efficiency

These innovations help our team work smarter and respond faster while continuing to provide exceptional service to employers and job seekers.

Why Relationships Still Matter in Staffing and Recruiting Services in Nebraska

While technology has changed the way we work, our core mission remains unchanged.

For over 30 years, we’ve believed that successful recruiting starts with understanding people. Whether we’re helping a company find its next team member or assisting a job seeker with a career move, relationships remain at the center of everything we do.

Being an extension of our clients’ human resource departments has always been a guiding principle and it continues to shape the way we serve businesses throughout Nebraska.

Looking Ahead to the Future

As we celebrate more than 30 years in business, we’re grateful for the employers, job seekers and communities that have trusted us along the way.

The future of staffing and recruiting services in Nebraska will undoubtedly continue to evolve with new technologies and changing workforce needs. However, our commitment to providing personalized service, recruiting expertise and workforce solutions remains stronger than ever.

Whether you’re searching for talent or your next career opportunity, we’re proud to continue serving Nebraska businesses and job seekers for many years to come.
